Analysis: After acquiring slugging shortstop Troy Tulowitzki from Colorado earlier in the week, the Blue Jays tried to shore up their rotation by adding the top remaining starting pitcher on the market. The Blue Jays sent left-handers Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd and Jairo Labourt to the Tigers in the deal, which was announced by both teams Thursday. Price can become a free agent after the season.

Analysis: Price didn't walk a batter and struck out eight while throwing only 93 pitches in his second straight complete game. He was no doubt boosted by his trip on Monday's off day to see alma mater Vanderbilt advance to the College World Series with a victory at Illinois. Price had dinner with the Commodores the night before and helped them warm up before they ended the Illini's season.

Apr. 12 12:49 PM PT1:49 PM MT2:49 PM CT3:49 PM ET15:49 ET19:49 GMT3:49 12:49 PM MST2:49 PM EST3:19 PM VEN23:49 UAE2:49 PM CT-Price pitched well enough to win Saturday, but came away with a no-decision.
Analysis: Price didn't allow an earned run in 5 2-3 innings, and may have cost himself his second win with an idiotic throwing error in the sixth, when the Indians took the lead and chased the left-hander. He was charged with three runs.

Analysis: The left-hander is crucial to the Tigers' hopes of holding onto the division, especially after Max Scherzer left via free agency and signed with Washington. He also figures to be crucial to fantasy owners.
Mar. 20 3:24 PM PT4:24 PM MT5:24 PM CT6:24 PM ET18:24 ET22:24 GMT6:24 3:24 PM MST5:24 PM EST5:54 PM VEN2:24 UAE (+1)4:24 PM CT-Price is getting the nod as opening-day starter for the Detroit Tigers, ending Justin Verlander's run of having that honor at seven straight seasons.
Analysis: Price was acquired from Tampa Bay at the July 31 trade deadline and had a better season than Verlander.
